Our Elder Brother in the faith, passed away today. . Trying to keep focus on the bigger picture ,”to be absent in body is to be present with Elohim”( 2 Corth. 5:8). I can’t help but remember conversations with Brother Joe, talking about how he’s ready for his journey home.. and my eyes would fill with tears from the thought of him passing.. He would just smile at me and offered words of comfort for us both..  Those word inspired this poem. I pray his words will bless and comfort you as well. ~E

Miss Me, But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no one in a gloom-filled room,
Don’t cry for my soul set free!
Miss me a little – but not for long
And not with your thoughts a low.
Think of Yah and sing to Him a Song.
Shout with praise and dance with me,
For I am free from cares!
Let the tears that fill your eyes
Come from Joy and not from lies,
Remember HE confounds the wise.
Miss me my friends, but let me go.
For this journey that we all must take
We each must go alone;
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
This world is not our home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know,
Worship with dance, and do good deeds.
For Yah in Heaven sees..
Miss me but for a moment, then let me go.

May Father Yah bless you and keep you; May Father Yah Cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; May Father Yah lift His face upon you and grant you peace’
(Numbers 6:24-25).
RIP Brother Joe.. we love you!
